According to a report by ICE - Law, the Central Unit of the Coastal District Police has announced the solving of the murder of Yanis Yusubaev, who police investigation identifies as the head of the "Caucasian Mafia" in Israel. The murder occurred at a gas station in Caesarea, when the suspect, a 54-year-old resident of Beit She'an, approached Yusubaev and shot him at close range. This incident, which took place about a month ago, was captured in a video that circulated online and sparked public outcry. The suspect was arrested shortly after the event.
According to the report, investigators from the Central Unit have compiled an extensive evidentiary basis against the suspect, including security camera footage identification and intelligence information. Following the gathering of evidence, a prosecutor's statement was filed against the suspect, and a severe indictment is expected to be filed against him shortly. Yusubaev, 41, a resident of Or Akiva, managed food and restaurant businesses, while also being linked to ties within the criminal underworld. According to the police, he was a primary target and had previously survived an assassination attempt in 2015.
