The Tel Aviv District Attorney's Office has filed an indictment at the Magistrate's Court against Udi Ayalon, a producer who previously worked with journalist Adva Dadon, according to a report by the Ice website. The indictment, filed by Adv. Ariel Gatenyo, details a series of criminal offenses, including extortion by threats, harassment via telecommunications, invasion of privacy, and violation of a legal order.
The background to the events stems from a previous professional relationship involving lecture production, which developed into a personal connection about two years before the affair erupted. According to the indictment, as the relationship deteriorated, Ayalon began making threats intended to harm the journalist's livelihood and reputation. When the journalist requested to sever all ties, his conduct escalated into physical stalking at her workplaces and the publication of content on social media, while issuing ultimatums to professionals with whom she works.
The indictment notes that even after a judicial restraining order was issued prohibiting him from contacting the complainant, the defendant continued to violate court orders. The climax of the events was described in the context of a confrontation held at the police station, where Ayalon leveled direct threats against the journalist in the presence of investigators.
According to the report, the prosecution has petitioned the court to set stringent restrictive conditions against Ayalon until the conclusion of the criminal proceedings, in order to prevent him from harassing the complainant or contacting her directly or indirectly. It should be clarified that this is an indictment containing allegations that have not yet been decided in court, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven otherwise.
